Here is a short introduction to who we are
Mixed Singles Over Sixty(MSOS), is a place to make new friends and acquaintances. A friendly, fun, social club catering to single men and women over sixty in the White Rock / South Surrey area and the surrounding municipalities. We have been around since 1999.
As we age our social circles tend to shrink. MSOS is a place to connect with others in similar situations while enjoying a variety of activities. MSOS isn’t meant to be a ‘dating’ club, however some members have found significant relationships.
Activities a MSOS tend to change and evolve. Currently we have two walking groups, a book group, as well as groups who knit, dine out together at various restaurants, play darts, dance and socialize, golf, attend concerts and theatre productions. We also have a ‘Celebrations’ group that gets together for a meal on the day of holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, days that can seem lonely when you no longer have family close by. Members are encouraged to think of activities they’d enjoy and then issue an invitation to see if others would be interested in forming a group around that activity.
One of our always popular and widely diverse activities are called “Pop-Ups”. They can be as simple as meeting at the beach for a fish and chip picnic, attending a ‘Canada Day’ celebration at a service club or various dinner dances around the lower mainland. Some are more complex; in September 2026 a member organized a day trip to Squamish including transportation and tickets for the gondola and another member organized a trip to Canada’s largest and longest-running Elvis festival in Penticton for June 24-27, 2027.
If you are an active 60+ who wants to enhance your life with more fun, MSOS may be the place you’ve didn’t know you were looking for. For more information, go to the Contact Us page.
